Bar Person

Job Purpose

To ensure guest satisfaction by providing efficient beverage service in accordance with the required standards of the Company.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate  

Minimum Requirements

• 2 years’ work experience in a similar environment  

• Micros knowledge an advantage  

• Stock taking and stock ordering 

Main Resposibilites

1. Manage and maintain set standards of the department 
2. Supervises his/her bar within the constraints of the Company’s policy and government legislation
3. It is the responsibility of the bartenders to ensure that the bars and trolley bars are clean, stocked and always packed during operational times.    
4. Maintains stringent stock and cash control procedures as laid down in the company handbook and as per departmental procedures.  
5. Ensure that guest satisfaction is maintained at the bar. 
6. Co-operates with the fellow bar staff to ensure correct taking of orders and service of beverage according to company standards.  
7. The Bar Person will be responsible for the operation of his/her bar.  
8. Satisfies guest to prevent guest complaints. 
9. Ensure excellent service delivery 
10. Manage and adhere to Health and Safety 
11. Manage communication with department 
12. Handle handed financial responsibilities
