Jnr Accountant

Job Purpose

To control inter-company accounts and manage non gaming revenue and food and beverage cost control to the required standards, and in compliance with all applicable laws and accounting practices.

Qualifications

Relevant Degree in Finance or equivalent

Minimum Requirements

1. 1-2 years management experience preferably in the Gaming or Hospitality industry.
2. Self motivated with excellent communication skills.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills.
4. Preference will be given to PDI candidates.

Main Resposibilites

1. Fiduciary responsibility for the safekeeping and use of all funds and assets of the company as well as planning and managing the accounting systems.
2. Interpretation of operating results, making specific recommendations resulting in cost reductions and profit improvements for Executive Management evaluation and consideration.
3. Assume the responsibility for the correct and accurate accounting classification of all operating and capital expenditure.
4. Ensure the preparation of internal and external financial statements.
5. Responsible for the internal accounting and administrative controls to ensure that all transactions are handled correctly.
6. Preparation of long term plans and budget requirements to ensure that departmental and corporate goals and objectives are met.
7. Keeping abreast with current trends and practices within the area of responsibility and communicate pertinent information to employees.
8. Responsible for the calculation and administration of all statutory taxes, levies and other charges.
9. Recommend and implement techniques to improve productivity, increase effectiveness and cost saving.
