Job Purpose

To provide the strategic interface between HR and designated unit to embed a strategic approach to human capital management that results in more effective customer facing delivery.

Qualifications

Grade 12

Relevant Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management with Payroll Specialization. 

Minimum Requirements

  • 10 years experience as HR and Payroll Specialist of which 4 years should be at management level.
  • Payroll Specialization:
    • Ability to consolidate relevant information and general reports for analytical reasons.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects to completion with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to work unders pressure.
    • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Strong business acumen and experience in delivering effective and accurate payroll.
  • Good inter-personal and conflict handling skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • A highly motivated person with good communication skills and attention to detail is required.
  • Flexible working hours is an operational requirement.

Main Responsibilites

  • To manage the full spectrum of HR and Payroll in order to ensure business objectives are met at the allocated unit/s.​​​​​
  • Provide HR/Payroll support to Operations teams and stakeholders.
  • Oversee and supervise full spectrum of payroll and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Maintain and enforce payroll procedures and audit controls.
  • Facilitate all recruitment, selection and assessment processes; including advertising, interviewing, references, vetting;
  • Monitor and authorise any changes to the HR System in line with operational changes
  • Supervision of month end Payroll reporting and journal processing.
  • Monthly payroll reconciliations and intercompany recharges
  • Prepare budget templates for distribution
  • Annual legislative submissions (IRP5, COIDA)
  • Monitor compliance of HR/Payroll Practices in line with labour legislation; BBBEE targets, Gaming Board regulations and policies.
