Job Purpose
The Communications Specialist is the custodian of Peermont’s voice, language, messaging and conceptual clarity across all internal and external communications. This role combines strategic communications leadership, senior copywriting, and creative direction to elevate the internal studio from execution to concept-led storytelling.
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Degree / Diploma in copywriting.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of three - five years' writing experience.
- Exceptional command of English, both written and verbal.
- Experience in a direct marketing/below the line environment would be an added advantage.
- Ability to apply creative and strategic writing.
- Excellent proofreading and grammar skills.
- A diverse portfolio would be an added advantage.
Main Responsibilites
1. Creative & Copy Leadership
- Own brand voice, tone and writing standards
- Write, edit and approve all high-impact copy
- Develop full copy decks for campaigns and promotions
- Translate business objectives into creative narratives
2. Communication Strategy
- Lead internal communications and HR messaging
- Write Peermont Post, intranet articles and leadership comms
- Own CSI communication and annual reporting
3. Campaigns & Promotions
- Conceptualise campaign themes and mechanics
- Write compliant gaming and loyalty messaging
- Oversee Winners Circle, Black Card and App messaging
4. Studio Direction
- Translate briefs into creative direction
- Assign work, review output and guide designers
- Act as bridge between Marketing, Ops, HR and Studio

5. Brand & Naming Governance
- Centralise naming conventions and terminology
- Write brochures, sales collateral and brand scripts
- Script radio, TV and animation copy
6. Media, PR & External Comms
- Write and edit press releases and speeches
- Align messaging across PR and Marketing
- Oversee copy quality of external partners
7. Events & Partnerships
- Lead messaging for internal and branded events
- Own copy for partnerships and co-branded activations
8. Digital, Social & Direct Channels
- Write and approve social, SMS, mailers and push messages
- Maintain tone and narrative consistency
9. Executive & Ad Hoc Writing
- Speeches, job profiles, training material, policies
- Crisis and sensitive internal messaging
